Leaving a bequest to LITTLE EDEN in your Will

Most of us get great satisfaction from doing good ... helping to make the world a better place and changing the lives of others for the better. A legacy to your favourite charity is a way of continuing this influence for good way beyond your own lifetime.

A Legacy is also a wonderful memorial – keeping your spirit of compassion and generosity alive for years to come. It's also a way of saving money as gifts to charity are exempt from estate duty and may reduce the size of your estate to the point where it will not attract any tax.

Especially if your own family is grown up and independent, you might like to make provision in your Will for children who will never be grown up and independent in the sense we know it ... those who suffer from intellectual disabilities.

The children at LITTLE EDEN are here for life – and we have made a commitment to care for them as long as they live. By leaving a bequest to LITTLE EDEN, you'll be an integral part of the
LITTLE EDEN story for ever.

Please contact us to let us know if you have made, or are considering making a bequest to LITTLE EDEN. We would appreciate the chance to thank you and, if necessary, to discuss with you how you would like your bequest to be used.

What is a bequest?

A bequest can be anything from a lump sum of money to a house, car or valuable artwork. As a guide, here are the main types:

A specific sum of money is the simplest bequest, but it makes no allowance for the effects of inflation, nor any possible changes in the value of your estate.

A percentage of your estate ensures a fair distribution regardless of any influencing changes.

The residue (or a percentage of the residue) of your estate – whatever is left over after family and friends have been taken care of may be bequeathed to a single beneficiary or divided among several.

A life insurance policy An existing policy that is no longer necessary may be ceded to LITTLE EDEN, or a new policy may be taken out, named us as the beneficiary.

Specific items may also be bequeathed: real estate, antiques, art works, motor vehicles, jewellery, etc.

Whichever type of bequest you choose will be most gratefully received and ensure you are remembered with affection and gratitude for many years to come.
