Grateful thanks to all who attended our 51st annual general meeting at O R Tambo City Lodge on 13 July 2019.
Amongst the attendees were members of the LITTLE EDEN Board of Governors, family members of LITTLE EDEN residents, residents, staff, volunteers, donors and members of the local community.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Governors, Rev Doug Boake. Rev Boake thanked the General Manager of O R Tambo City Lodge, Mr Ian Laughland, for the use of the conference venue free of charge. He also acknowledged and thanked the following for their pro bono services in the publication of the fully sponsored 2019 LITTLE EDEN integrated annual report: PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc (“PwC”) for providing the Assurance process, Studio 5 for the design and layout of the report, Ingwenya Breeze, Print & Media for printing the report and Kalideck Antalis Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd for sponsoring the paper.
Mrs Beauty Gama, a mother to one of the Society residents, expressed gratitude to the organisation for caring for her son, Nkululeko, and affording her an opportunity to be physically and emotionally available to herself and other members of her family.
Mrs Xelda Rohrbeck, CEO of LITTLE EDEN Society, acknowledged and thanked, amongst others, Miss Lise-Marie Chauvin, a volunteer from France who will be returning to her country in September after serving at the Home for two years.
The following Board of Governors office bearers were elected during the Board of Governors meeting which took place after the AGM: Chairman: Rev Douglas Ian Boake; Vice Chairman: Mr Maurizio Galimberti; Treasurer: Ms Sedzani Mudau.
