Our 56th Annual General Meeting took place on 20 July 2024 at the OR Tambo City Lodge in Kempton Park. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring together members, donors, community supporters and families of the Society’s residents to reflect on the past year and discuss future goals. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the OR Tambo City Lodge for generously donating the venue, making this important event possible. The warm hospitality and excellent facilities provided an ideal setting.
At the meeting, it was confirmed that Luigi Slaviero (Chairperson), Thato Nkosi (Vise Chairperson) and Sedzani Mudau (Treasurer) would remain in their positions, creating continuity and stability within the organisation.
Themed ‘Compassion’ the Society’s Integrated Annual Report for the 2024/2025 period was presented. The report highlighted key updates, achievements, and ongoing projects at LITTLE EDEN Society, reflecting the Society’s commitment to providing lifelong care to 300 children and adults with profound intellectual disability under its care.
CEO, Xelda Rohrbeck, explained that the AGM also provided an opportunity to thank all attendees for their continuous support and dedication to the mission of the organisation. “The involvement and contributions of the community is invaluable, helping us to maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our residents,” she said.
She pointed out that LITTLE EDEN Society remained committed to its vision of caring for and enhancing the lives of individuals living with profound intellectual disability. “As we look forward to another year, we are grateful for the unwavering support from our community and partners,” she added.
