Admitting three children from the same family back in 2009 was a first for LITTLE EDEN. All three of the brothers have profound intellectual disability owing to a suspected genetic disorder.
When they first arrived here, the eldest, Tau (who was 9 years old at the time) could walk, but not talk or feed himself. Banele (then aged two) could not walk or talk and Senzo was just a baby.
Fast forward twelve years and Tau is now able to express himself verbally and has learnt to make use of his hands for most activities. His cheerful grin speaks volumes for the way he is thriving at LITTLE EDEN.
Banele can now walk and talk beautifully. Senzo, the youngest brother, can now say his own name and roll over on the floor, and he tries to put a puzzle together, provided the pieces are large.
All three boys now live at Elvira Rota Village where they are able to enjoy the environment and lifestyle and join in various activities out in the open air.
Their mom is so glad that she made the difficult decision to place her sons at LITTLE EDEN all those years ago. She expressed her gratitude to us for providing all the love and care the brothers deserve, and helping to give them the best chance of reaching their full potential. We, in turn, thank friends like you for partnering with us; your ongoing support is what makes heartwarming stories like this possible.
