In the words of Stephen Hawking, “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” With this in mind, officials, staff, friends and relatives went online to attend LITTLE EDEN’s 53rd Annual General Meeting on Saturday 24 July.
Rev Doug Boake, Chairman of the Board of Governors, said that, “Despite the prevailing gloom and doom in the country, LITTLE EDEN had weathered the storm through fiscal discipline, stringent reviews of operating costs and new ways of fundraising.”
A moment of silence was observed to pay respect to Giuliano Rota Martir, President of the Associazione Domitilla Rota Hyams Onlus, who passed away recently. His support and commitment to LITTLE EDEN will forever be appreciated.
The Danny and Domitilla Hyams Award – the highest recognition that LITTLE EDEN can bestow in recognition of exemplary support, was awarded to Mrs Lucy Slaviero for her exceptional meritorious service to the Society and exemplary leadership as Chief Executive Officer for 22 years … and to Rev Antony Bishop for exceptional meritorious service to the organisation as a member of the Board of Governors for 40 years.
