Boitumelo (which means “joy” or “happiness” in Tswana) arrived at LITTLE EDEN in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, and had to complete a compulsory two weeks of isolation for her safety and that of the other residents.
But this did not dampen her bubbly personality. From the moment she arrived, she greeted everyone with a smile, and often laughed and giggled in response to physical touch. Without knowing it, she was a great morale boost for our staff, who have been tirelessly providing care in the isolation wing.
Although she cannot see well, Boity tries her best to interact, and greets every new task with enthusiasm and excitement. She really lives up to her name!
