Twenty five years have passed since Doreen Sithole arrived for her first day’s work at LITTLE EDEN, but she’s lost none of her passion for caring for our special angels.
She says it has been a privilege to see all the changes that have taken place over the years, but that the true highlight of her time with us was working alongside Founder, Domitilla Hyams, who taught her so many things.
Patricia Makhathini has also notched up 25 years at LITTLE EDEN, and has seen many changes over the years.
“I remember when the buildings at Elvira Rota Village were erected. There were only a few to start with, but over time they’ve been expanded and upgraded,” she said.
She also remembers the Founders with affection. “Domitilla was such a kind, loving and generous person,” she recalls. “My fondest memory of her was when she would sort the clothes for the residents, often on a Saturday.”
We thank and honour these two wonderful women for their years of loyal service, and their dedication to our special angels.
