A home that’s overflowing with clothes you haven’t worn in years, kitchen gadgets you don’t use, pictures and ornaments that no longer fill you with pleasure, and books you’ll never read again can have a negative effect on your mental health. Decluttering not only creates more space, it literally lightens your mood, relieving you of the stress of owning so many possessions.
If you struggle to let go of things, think about the pleasure your unwanted items could give someone else. By donating your pre-loved kitchenware, linen, appliances, furniture, clothing, toys and books to our Charity Shop, you’ll give someone the chance to buy items they need at a reduced price*.
Plus, you’ll contribute towards the cost of caring for our residents. The Charity Shop generates around 6% of the funds needed to run our Homes. Every donated item becomes a thread in the fabric of support. So why not start the New Year with a big clear out? It’s good for you … the community … and all those who depend on LITTLE EDEN for loving care.
* Donated items are first considered for use in our Homes before they are offered for sale.
