Supporters gathered on Thursday, 3 August at Investec Bank Limited in Sandton for a fundraising breakfast event hosted by Investec to celebrate our 50th anniversary and to acknowledge the women who care for our residents. Ms Phemelo Mutene, Radio702 presenter and actress, was the master of ceremonies at the event.
Guest speaker, Professor Ermos Nicolaou, addressed the gathering and shared interesting insights into the “Ethical dilemmas and considerations in Obstetrics.” In his talk Professor Nicolaou said “Society has a justice-based obligation to look after its disabled and maximise their potential”
Funds raised through the breakfast will go towards the care of the 300 children and adults at our Society. Guests had an opportunity to interact with some of the LITTLE EDEN residents who attended the event.
We send our heartfelt thanks to Mr Steven Koseff and the team at Investec Bank Limited for hosting this wonderful morning, sponsoring the catering and venue and for their kind assistance during the preparations for this special event.
Special thanks to Professor Nicolaou and Phemelo Mutene for being part of this celebration; and to Annalie Anticevich, Kiki beauty, Dermalogica and Environ Skin Care for donating thank you gifts and items for the spot draw.
