We’ve all experienced how the strict regulations of lockdown hamper meaningful, personal interactions. Here at LITTLE EDEN, the therapy team has had to turn to the internet to find ways of bridging these gaps.
They’ve sent parents photos and videos of their loved ones and their progress in the Home. Residents have also been encouraged to speak to their parents on the phone, as part of the ‘new normal’ in trying to stay connected during this time of being apart.
Music has become very important in both our Homes. Music helps us connect and is something you can be a part of without physical touch. Music therapy also helps the residents process and express their emotions, which is more important now than ever.
Covid-19 cases
Following screening at both our Homes, a group of residents and staff tested positive for Covid-19. We are grateful that most of them are asymptomatic. Thank you for all your support and prayers.
Isolation sections were set up at both Homes with all protocols and hygiene measures in place. We are receiving valuable support from the Department of Health and the Department of Environmental Health to ensure continued safety in our Homes. Our dedicated staff continue their commitment to providing a high level of care to our angels.
Thank ou to all our friends who have dug deep into their pockets to ensure that we have everything we need to keep our angels safe and happy. Let us continue to pray for each other as we battle through this pandemic.
