A wish comes true – Shaun makes the move to Elvira Rota Village.
Ever since he came to us, as a small, sickly tot in 2004, Shaun has been prone to severe chest infections. Doctors did not expect him to live long.
But, against all odds, Shaun thrived at LITTLE EDEN. Although he is unable to walk or talk, he understands much of what is said to him, and uses a board with happy and sad faces on it to let us know how he is feeling. It wasn’t difficult to figure out what would make Shaun really happy – to spread his wings and enjoy the greater freedom of life at Elvira Rota Village. But we were worried that it was too far from medical help in an emergency.
However, after ERV staff received training in managing his condition, Shaun finally made the move to the Village towards the end of last year. He was so happy being with the ‘big’ boys at the annual concert, and has a permanent smile on his face now!
