Gontshe is the youngest of three brothers at LITTLE EDEN – and the most severely affected. As a result, he hasn’t been as quick to learn as his two older brothers, who can both now walk and talk. But we never gave up hope. And with the introduction of the literacy programme, Gontshe has achieved some impressive milestones. He can speak, count and say his ABC’s. If you are planning to pop into LITTLE EDEN Elvira Rota Village, why not stop by and say hello to him?
Following the success of the starter literacy classes at Elvira Rota Village, we’ve begun a similar programme at Domitilla and Danny Hyams Home. Our children may have intellectual disability, but they still have the right to an education geared to their level of understanding.
