Building upgrades at both our Homes continue, with the official opening of our refurbished Business Development Department offices and new Charity Shop depot at Domitilla & Danny Hyams Home.
Among the improvements to the Charity Shop depot is a better layout, facilitating the receiving and despatching of donated items, as well as extra storage shelving.
During the opening ceremony, the new section was blessed by Reverend Father Jonathan Petersen OMI of St Thérèse Church, assisted by Brother Gabriel Shiovolo OMI.
LITTLE EDEN CEO, Xelda Rohrbeck, expressed gratitude towards the anonymous overseas donor whose sizeable contribution played a significant role in enabling us to go ahead with the building upgrades.
She stressed that every donation, regardless of size, makes a difference in the lives of our special angels, and called on the community to unite in creating a society where individuals with profound intellectual disabilities are empowered, cherished, and given every opportunity to reach their full potential.
Currently underway are renovations to the kitchen and laundry area at Domitilla & Danny Hyams Home, as well as Accacia and Boiketlong wings at Elvira Rota Village.
