To commemorate Arbor Week last September, residents and staff of Elvira Rota Village planted no fewer than 1 500 indigenous trees, which will form a beautiful, natural forest in years to come. Black Karee, White Karee, Riverbush Willows and Olive trees were among the saplings planted.
The new forest area is an extension of the existing sensory garden, where residents enjoy the various different scents and textures of the leaves, as well as listening to the birds and insects that make their homes in the bark and branches.
