We recently opened our Home and our hearts to six new children.
Thando (five years), Siboniso (six years), Blessing (nine years), Sizwe (13 years), Bheki (12 years) and Mphokane (nine years) haven’t been at LITTLE EDEN for very long. But they’ve already stolen our hearts!
As you know, it takes a huge leap of faith to commit to caring for children like this for the rest of their lives. Especially those who have been abandoned or who come from poverty stricken families who are unable to contribute financially to their care.
But if you believe as we do, that every child has a soul and is precious in the eyes of God, it is simply not possible to turn away and leave them to a life of neglect, deprivation or abuse.
Inside each of these minds and bodies is a child who craves what every other child wants: to live, to laugh, to find joy in ‘being’ and to give and receive friendship and love.
We are so grateful for the generosity of our friends and supporters, without whom it would be impossible to give these precious ‘angels’ the life they deserve. Thank you for having a heart for children affected by profound intellectual disability.
