Shortly after our 56th Annual General Meeting, the Board of Governors accepted the resignation of our CEO, Mrs Xelda Rohrbeck, who made the difficult decision to step down owing to health and medical reasons.
Mrs Rohrbeck, who is married to a grandson of the Founders of the Society, has been at the helm of our organisation for the past six years, having joined the Society in 2008. She will remain in her position for the coming months as the Board undertakes the process of recruiting her successor.
“I take this opportunity to thank the LITTLE EDEN Board for their support and guidance over the years, and the LITTLE EDEN team in its entirety for helping me hold the fort through the various challenges and special milestones of the Organisation during my reign,” she said. “I further thank all our valuable supporters and donors for believing in the value of the organisation’s work and the people living with profound disability we serve, and I encourage and plea for your continued support”.
Mrs Rohrbeck stated that, although she will always carry LITTLE EDEN and its residents and values in her heart, for the benefit of her health and family, she has come to this conclusion.
